Before June 2, 2009, Linda struggled for 16 years with addictions leading to homelessness and incarceration. Since that day, she has lived life one sober day at a time. Life is different now: Linda is married, employed helping others find sobriety, and enrolled in college working toward a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Linda became an FDC Recovery Support Specialist in March 2014 after completing the RSS Institute. Seeing a client’s “Ah-ha!” moment keeps her energized, but what has been most rewarding is seeing the redemptive power and positive impact of her own life story on the families she serves.
